Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Payment information: Billing details processed securely through our third-party payment provider. Bluethyme does not store raw payment card data.
  • Communications: Messages or inquiries you send to our support team.

Information Collected Automatically 

  • Visitor chat messages: Conversations that your website visitors have with your embedded Bluethyme chatbot. These are processed to power the chatbot and generate content insights. 
  • Usage data: How you interact with the Bluethyme dashboard (pages visited, features used, session duration). 
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral URLs, collected via standard web analytics. 

Information from Third-Party Integrations 

  • If you connect Instagram, we access only the data necessary to read and respond to comments on your connected account. We do not access private messages or unrelated account data. 

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
  • Personalize your experience and generate content insights relevant to your blog.
  • Process transactions and send billing-related communications.
  • Send newsletters and product updates (you may opt out at any time).
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate about your account.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bluethyme, our users, or the public. 
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. 

We do not share your personal data for advertising purposes. 

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

To delete your account:

  • Sign in to your Bluethyme account.
  • Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the profile page.
  • Click Delete in the Delete Account section.

Your account will be scheduled for deletion after 90 days. During this period, a banner will be displayed at the top of the application reminding you that your account is scheduled for deletion.

If you change your mind before the 90-day period ends, return to the same profile page and click Keep Account to cancel the deletion request.

Once the 90-day period has elapsed, your account and personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymized, except where we are required to retain certain information by law.

Visitor chat message data may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form to improve our AI models.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: 

For All Users
  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. 
  • Correction: You may request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data. 
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions. 
  • Opt-Out of Marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. 
For California Residents (CCPA) 

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to: 

  • Know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold. 
  • Request deletion of personal information we have collected. 
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (note: Bluethyme does not sell personal information).

Our legal bases for processing include: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations. 

For Indian Users (DPDP Act)

8. Children's Privacy

Bluethyme is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with external services (such as Instagram). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with Bluethyme.
